About Me

Kristy Horine is an award-winning Kentucky freelance journalist and writer. In addition to her nonfiction newspaper and magazine publications, her poetry and short fiction have been published in regional journals and anthologies.

She has a nonfiction story included in the forthcoming 2019 Remembering Christmas Moments book with Yvonne Lehman and was a finalist in the 2018 ACFW First Impressions Short Novel Competition. With the Kentucky Christian Writers Conference, she has served as Publicity Chair since 2016, and as Executive Board Member since 2019. She became a member of the American Christian Fiction Writers in 2018 and volunteers as the ACFW Ohio Valley Zone Director. She founded the 3rd Letter Christian Writers in Lexington, Kentucky in 2015.

Kristy makes her home with her husband in Paris, Kentucky. Together, they have four children and minister to the Hispanic community through Central Baptist Church.
